    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.45(2)(b) to seek for a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Education regarding the remittance of teachers’ sacco deductions by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). In the statement, the Chairperson should address the following:- (a) Explain whether he is aware that the TSC has been effecting statutory deductions from teachers’ salaries, but has not been remitting the same to the teachers’ saccos in the country. (b) Explain why the TSC has not been remitting the said deductions. (c) Explain the measures that the Commission will put in place to ensure that the deductions are remitted within the stipulated time."
