    "content": "“(ii) Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops; and” Currently, even if this clause touches on the counties, the formation of county education boards still includes both national Government and county government officials. The purpose of the amendment is to ensure that the county education board is lean for ease of decision-making. The inclusion of the county executive in charge of education is to ensure that the Bill expressly indicates which officer from the county government should sit on the county education board. Currently, the county government was supposed to have a representative sitting on the board, but there was no indication of who in the county government should sit in the board. The County Executive Director in charge of education may then decide who to represent him or her on the county education board. The inclusion of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops in the county education board is in recognition of the immense role it has played in the development of education in this country."
