I am not saying that TA should have been the auditor, but they need to have overseen the process so that the prices of goods and services being procured by the county governments are within the market range. Remember the case of wheelbarrows being bought at Kshs109,000 instead of the prevailing market prices of between Kshs5,000 and Kshs6,000. We need to extend the term of TA by enacting the necessary legislation and give it an additional three years so that it can midwife the process of devolution. With that, I oppose the recommendations and ask that we extend the life of TA."
