Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, clause 9 of the Bill be amended- (a) in sub-clause (1)— (i) by deleting paragraph (c); The reason behind this is that the membership of the board already includes in (f), the AG or his representative. If you go back to Clause (c), it is the Principal Secretary in the Ministry for the time being responsible for matters relating to legal aid and justice issues, which is the Office of the AG. So, the Office of the AG is represented doubly here and it serves no purpose. Let us stick with it or they will be overrepresented. That is why I ask for the deletion of Clause 1(c) since the AG or his representative is already on the board. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
