    "content": "Very well. Anyhow, you have held the companies therein responsible for some of the sufferings that the residents of Owino Uhuru Village have suffered. I thought that perhaps if you had gone on to lift the veil to indicate the owners of those companies, perhaps it might be easier if the residents were also to pursue civil litigation. I am not privy to the information that you have just said that they are rumoured to be Members of this House. Of course, even Members of this House owe a duty of care to residents who they ought to have in their minds when undertaking certain industrial activities. There is a rule. Hon. Olago Aluoch will remember the ruling in Donoghue vs. Stevenson. They ought to have those residents as neighbours; the neighbour principle. Nevertheless, Hon. Soipan, fortunately, is present. I am sure she will be looking at this Report immediately to see how far it can be pursued. Many Kenyans who watched that situation in that village sympathised with those citizens."
