In the statement, the chairperson should: (a) Explain whether he is aware that owing to the food shortage, there is a looming hunger and starvation of the people of West Pokot County, especially Pokot North, Pokot Central, some parts of West Pokot and Pokot South districts. (b) Explain whether he is aware that school going children are already adversely affected and many of them are unable to regularly attend classes. (c) State when the Government will supply relief food to the affected areas."
