    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to comment on the same. I appreciate the point of order raised on this Bill. This Bill and the one from Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale, are indeed very important because they set out the place of the Senate. There is a process being carried out by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SCR) regarding job evaluation to determine their place in terms of their status. I think it would make a lot of sense to discuss this Bill and at the Committee stage, bring in amendments to ensure concurrence with that the Senator for Kakamega brought so that we do not lose out on this opportunity by the SRC which is commencing next week, to the best of my knowledge.
