Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, the Bill be amended in Clause 2 by inserting the following new definitions – “Court” means the High Court of Kenya; and “Parties to a marriage” means a man and woman married to subsisting laws of marriage in Kenya. I would like to drop my definition of “court” in Clause 2. Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I am sorry for creating confusion. I have noticed that Hon. (Prof.) Nyikal has also defined “parties to a marriage” and my amendment was doing the same. I, therefore, drop my proposed amendments."
