What is the role of the CID in the issuance of identity cards? Could the Chairman assure this House that in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kenya, 2010, every adult Kenyan is entitled to an identification (ID) card as of right and should not be taken through the rigmaroles of senseless vetting? Sometimes people are told to bring in chiefs, or they demand titles deeds and ask for ID cards of their grandfathers, grandmothers and everybody along the chain which ends up denying people the right to have ID cards"
