    "content": "Hon. Speaker, the Mining Bill was passed by this House and sent to the Senate, which passed it on 28th October 2015. Therein, as a House, we looked at it and approved it with some rejections of the Senate version of the Bill. Subsequently, we had three meetings, as Mediation Committee, to look at several clauses of the Bill that were problematic. The following are the resolutions of the Mediation Committee on the disputed clauses. This House rejected the Senate amendment on the definition of “community” because their definition left out communities which would be displaced by an intended exploration of mining operation. The mediated version therefore agrees with the definition of community that was in the National Assembly’s version of the Bill."
