    "content": "Many businesses are collapsing and making losses and as such they cannot pay taxes. It is important that the cost of capital be reduced so that it can make sense when it comes to doing business. I want to congratulate Joe Donde on the Bill he brought to the Floor of this House sometime back. We must follow suit so that whatever Hon. Njomo has proposed, moves with speed. I want to request His Excellency the President though I know he has businesses in the banking sector that if this Bill is passed, he should assent to it with speed so that Kenyans can benefit from the low rate of cost of capital. We are not going anywhere if the cost of capital is going to be maintained at such a high rate. Lawyers and debt collectors are the only ones who are making money right now because that is where money is."
