"content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, let me also join other Senators in congratulating Sen. Gwendo for bringing this concern. Truly, our country is at cross- roads. Young people are coming up with a new culture which is completely different from the African culture which is quite rich. I know my in-law said that, as Maasais, we do not have a problem with maybe a “Project X” of some sort, but I can tell him that in our culture, the issue of the spear has been talked about, where I can go to my age-mate’s home and place the spear in front of the house. So, he will have to shift. It does not mean that when you go there, you have to do wrong things. It is just out of respect, as an age- mate that when you go there you are taken care of, you are fed and given water to wash your feet but the following morning, you bless the home and go. The other issues you are imagining never arise."
