"content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I want to support the Petition by the Member for Balambala. In Ukambani, we have River Athi. I am also aware that previously, there were plans to build the grand high force dam near Balambala and Mwingi North. It was supposed to be one of the flagship projects in the country that would stabilise the flow of water so that the river would not change its course like it has done in Tana River. I would like to participate in the Committee deliberations so that we can assist the people of Balambala to have a better way of life. There is equipment from NYS. There is expertise. They can deal with the course of that river so that the people of Balambala can be served just like any other Kenyan.
