    "content": "they have made us proud. I keep on quoting them when I talk to my own county assembly of Busia. Their committee on justice petitioned us to find out why there were problems in the issuance of national identity cards (IDs). The Senate has set up a committee which is looking into ways of expediting and ensuring that any person who requires an ID gets it and actually has a voter’s card. The county assembly drew our attention to that and we have taken it seriously. Madam Temporary Speaker, I also thank the County Government of Kilifi for hosting my Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights sometime ago. I am the one who taught your Senator the law that he proudly and effectively practices in Kilifi. He was my Pupil in the Attorney-General’s Chambers, when I became the Attorney-General of Kenya. Therefore, we are proud of both the Senator for Kilifi and the Senator for Vihiga counties. They are good Senators in this House and contribute effectively on the various matters under debate. I am quite sure that if you worked with them and consulted more when they come to the ground, you will perform your duties well. They will give you the guidance and the necessary support that you require to perform your duties effectively. With those few remarks, I thank you."
