    "content": "I had invited my good friends from Mzalendo Kenya to come and see that Waihenya Ndirangu, the son of Wanjiru, has a mouth to speak. It is important that some of those institutions do not belittle the work that Members of Parliament do. I am a very active member of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs. We sit three days every week to go through Bills and Motions, and develop policies and procedures that are finally put into law and brought into this House. In the recent past, I have personally put my signature in the Committee’s Report on all Bills regarding the Judiciary, Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the Gender Act, the Fair Administrative Action Act, the National Cohesion Act and matters to do with Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Attorney-General. The other day, we vetted the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) nominees. It is important that members of public know that a lot happens behind the scenes in committees in the process of legislation."
