"content": "My committee is well aware of the urgent need to have Badasa Dam completed so that the intended beneficiaries can have their right to clean water in adequate quantities fulfilled. I have, therefore, instructed the NWCPC to immediately resolve the legal dispute and embark on the completion of the works. In this connection, I undertake to inform this House when the legal dispute is resolved and advise on the completion date on the project once it is retendered and the tender date of completion is known. In addition to that, I have discussed this with Sen. Hargura. Apparently, from the notes which I have attached on the statement, the matter went through court and ended up to arbitration. In February, the court ruled that the two parties have an extra 30 days up to the end of this month to come to amicable conclusion of the negotiations. Otherwise, the matter will have to go back to court."
