    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there was no violation of the accused person’s rights, because the court provided a Pokot interpreter by the name Susan Kamolo, who was used during the court hearing to ensure that the accused understood the particulars of the offence preferred against him. The accused was convicted and sentenced on his own plea of guilty. I want to repeat that the accused was convicted and sentenced on his own plea of guilty. The accused was given a chance to appeal within 14 days after the date of the sentence which he did not do. I am not able to have the matter reviewed as an Assistant Minister, as it was handled by a court of law and the law is very clear on such matters."
