    "content": "THAT, the efforts by the community to seek redress from relevant offices on the matter have been in vain and further averring that the issues raised in this Petition are not pending in any court of law, constitutional or legal body. Therefore, your humble Petitioners pray that the National Assembly, through the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security:- (1) Investigates the circumstances and reasons for the inordinate delay and protracted vetting process of members of the Turkana community living in Laikipia County before issuance of IDs. (2) Intervenes with the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government to forthwith revoke any orders authorizing or directing the tedious vetting of the members of the Turkana Community in Laikipia County by the offices responsible for registration of persons in the county. (3) Ensures that the Directorate of Registration of Persons expeditiously processes and releases all IDs belonging to youths of Turkana origin that have been pending for the last three years and immediately commences mass registration and issuance of IDs to all eligible persons of Turkana ethnicity resident in Laikipia County; and, (4) Makes any other orders deemed fit in mitigating the plight of the Petitioners.
