"content": "Owing to the fact that health is a fully devolved function, the purpose was to include representatives from the Council of Governors. The Committee has agreed to the proposed amendment to include a further amendment as follows: (i) Introduction of two representatives nominated from the Council of Governors. (ii) Introduction of one more representative from health regulatory bodies to bring the total number of representatives in the health regulatory bodies to three. (iii) To provide for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will be recruited competitively. He shall be the secretary to the Board. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify that the CEO is not a member the Board of the Authority."
