She went to an equivalent of the KCB, the National Bank and the Consolidated Bank and said: “We will control the rates in the banks we own and every amount will go to those banks.” Nothing stops this State from saying that the Kshs2 trillion of our Budget will be pumped into KCB. The KCB would be left to do nothing but to charge minimal fees and also come up with products, for example, mortgage. How can we expect to move from where we are to the next level if we do not, as a country, help our people to create wealth?"
