"content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, the Board is supposed to be paid certain allowances, but the experience we have had before is that when this is not set by the relevant Minister, it becomes a point of debate and it delays the work. I also want to quote the Judicial Service Bill, in which it is clearly stated that the Minister will set the allowances. I want to remove the words, âin consultation with the Committee of the National Assemblyâ, so that we do not have delays and people asking for Kshs1 million or Kshs2 million to so as serve. We want payment to be set the way it has been set for other commissions."
