    "content": "Yes. Hon. Speaker, I thank the Leader of the Majority Party for having moved this Motion on the State of the Nation Address by His Excellency the President. His Excellency the President gave us the State of the Nation Address and addressed many issues. On the issue of corruption, the President has tried to fix some of the major issues. When we talk about corruption, it is individual. It is not the Government. When people are given responsibilities within the Government, let us say, somebody is appointed as a Cabinet Secretary or as a Chair of the Youth Fund and decides to steal, it is that person. He is not stealing on behalf of the Government. The Jubilee Government has tried to give everybody an opportunity. During last year’s State of the Nation Address, the President sacked a third of his CSs. He also presented the list that he was given by the EACC. He does not do investigations. The President has given the necessary resources to the organs that conduct investigations like the EACC. It is this House that approved the Commission and it is this House that did not do the radical surgery on the EACC Secretariat.
