Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 29 of the Bill be amended in Sub-clause (5) by inserting the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (d)− “(e) carry out any activity on the land other than lawful grazing of stock, which may prevent or restrict the residents of the traditional community concerned from a reasonable exercise of their grazing rights” This provision is meant to stop the loophole for conflict between pastoralists and other competing land users other than farming, that may interfere with the grazing by the traditional community."
