Andrew Mwadime, to look at it from the perspective of the Chairperson as he has tried to explain why Clause 30 (i) and (g) are there. You need people to sit together and agree on whatever is going to be done on that particular chunk of land for promoting public interest. The key words here are “public interest”. Since the community cannot make certain decisions alone, it needs to work with the county and national governments to make a decision on an issue like that or even be advised properly so that the right decision can be reached. So, this is not offensive in any way and it does not mean that the county and national governments can do things without the community getting involved."
