"content": "He picked the stool and put it slowly inside a plastic bag which he was carrying and continued walking. I asked myself: What if it was in Kenya? He could just have continued walking away with his dog and people could just be stepping on that dirt. I was touched by that. If we move in that direction we will make our country clean. In a place like Eastlands there are heaps of rubbish. The Nairobi City County garbage trucks pile more rubbish there instead of seeing how they can dispose it. The heaps have become mountains and people still live in that environment. We are not conscious of our environment because we are ignorant. It should be emphasized that we should be careful about our environment. We should be clear on where we should throw our rubbish and ensure that systems, including recycling, are in existence. Whatever we collect, let us not just dump it. Waste materials can be recycled. Toilet papers are made from recycled materials. Even bottles can be recycled. This will help to reduce the heaps of garbage that we see around. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Thursday comes in between the week. I would therefore propose that we make it a Friday, when people will be going for the weekend so that, after the exercise, they can rest or do other things. It should be done by the county governments, in tandem with the environmental institutions and each and every person. It should be done thoroughly and once it is repeated, we might find ourselves closer if not where others who have been taking care of their environment are. With those remarks, I support."
