Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended− (a) in sub-clause (1), by inserting the words “of the Constitution” immediately after the words “with Article 40”; (b) in sub-clause (4), by inserting the words “or by negotiated settlement” at the end of the sentence; and (c) in sub-clause (5) by inserting the words “of this Act” immediately after the words “section 46”. The gist of the matter is to give clarity as well as to add further conditions that would allow the State to compulsorily acquire community land especially for public use."
