"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was saying that as we continue enacting legislation based on the provisions of the Sixth Schedule, it is important to remain awake to our own arguments that we have had on this Floor and also the ruling of the Speaker where we have said that there is very little we can do outside the main provisions of the Constitution. It will be important to look at the provisions as contained in the body of the Constitution, so that we do not seem to be enacting legislation that will be challenged. Under Article 24, before my good friend Dr. Eseli got me a bit worried, I was saying that it is important, and the Speaker said that in his ruling a couple of days ago, to remain aware of the fact that the court can challenge those provisions. As we continue thinking of how to implement the Constitution, I want us to remain true to our own contributions on the Floor of this House. I said that the Chair holds the institutional memory of this House. Some of us have the opportunity to change our arguments every other time we start. However, it is important to make sure that our arguments do not influence legislative agenda in a manner that is not consistent with the provisions of this Constitution. With those few remarks, I beg to support."
