    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I also rise to support this Bill. I have very little to say because a lot has been said by those who contributed before me. I want to ask the Minister to pay attention to Clause 6(1). The clause says that the President and the Judges of the Court of Appeal shall serve for a now-renewable term of three years. This means that a judge gets into office and before he familiarizes himself with the issues, the term is over. This does not encourage people to apply for that job. It is clear that even if a person performs exemplary, he stands no chance of having his term extended. There will be no encouragement to officers to serve faithfully and with total commitment. I want to ask the Minister to make sure that the term is for over three years and renewable. Disinterested people who just want to pass time may end up becoming Judges of the Court of Appeal."
