    "content": "Most of the Members of the CORD Coalition who were part and parcel of the previous Budget and Appropriations Committee have not been included. As a House, we rejected the membership of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. That is not the membership of the Committee that we want to be re-constituted. I appreciate the ability of Members who have been selected to the Budget and Appropriations Committee. The Committee will work well in the budget-making process. We know the importance of the Committee in this House. For the sake of this country and that of the budget-making process, Members of the Budget and Appropriations Committee have been drawn from different committees. I note that some of them have been instrumental in the running of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. For example, Hon. Makali Mulu, the Member for Kitui, has done very well. He has given us a lot of advice, including those in the leadership positions. This Committee will miss a lot in the process now that Hon. (Dr.) Makali Mulu has been moved to the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security. I appreciate that his area of specialization is finance, planning and trade.
