    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I agree with Hon. Birdi. In fact, it is for this reason I wanted to speak. The spirit of the earlier amendment under this Clause 193 is defeated by this further amendment. You heard what Hon. Millie proposed. I do not want to repeat it. But if you were on a life support machine in this House when there were those outages, you would have lost your life. So much has happened. We know that there is so much damage of property like the electric appliances. For us to make this clear and to make Kenya Power accountable, we do not need to get to these extensions of saying there are exemptions. They should be accountable. It is their responsibility. I want to oppose this amendment proposed by the Chairman. It does not have to dilute what we have achieved in the earlier amendment."
