"content": "The amendment is just replacement of one word. The drafters of this Bill have used the word “redacted”. As a country, we have just dealt with the International Criminal Court (ICC), where we saw usage of the language of reduction. The language that we have always known in Kenya is that of editing. It would be in good stead in keeping with our own laws to use the language that we know. In Kenya, we use the language of unedited copy as opposed to redacted form. The latter is influence of other jurisdictions on our drafters. The amendment just seeks to replace the word “redacted” with a word that is commonly used in Kenya."
