    "content": "I would have supported this amendment if the Senate had requested for more funds to be given to their Committees. If they feel that the amount they have in the Budget is not enough for oversight, then additional funds would be given to the Senate to be spent through Committees. We will add them the same amount of Kshs1 billion, so that the Committees can move around and oversee. For that reason, I support the amendment that the way the figure is crafted will only allow Senators to have money for their personal use. If the money goes to Committees, it will be better. The Senate has Committees and their intention is to participate in oversight. So, we need to add them money. That is my submission. I support."
