    "content": "This Bill is critical for the recognition and protection of ownership of indigenous seeds and plant varieties, both in their genetic and diverse characteristics and their use by Kenyan communities. There are specific seeds and plants that have special attachment, both in their genetic and diverse nature, to specific communities in our country. Their biodiversity and equitable sharing of the benefits accruing from these genetic resources and biodiversity require us to legislate for future generations."
