I want to urge the President and the Prime Minister to have a little bit of a conversation with their conscience and look at their surroundings to see whether they represent the face of Kenya in their daily lives. If you are sitting in a public office and everybody who is around is your village mate or from your county or province, you fail on that account on the requirements of this Constitution. There are senior offices in the Government which we must begin to look at thoroughly because those are the roots of conflict. Exclusion is a basis of conflict. The fact that a meeting can be held in the Office of the Prime Minister and for convenience, a discussion can be held in that office in the mother tongue, that is a source of conflict. If, in the Office of the President, there is a meeting going on and the parties concerned happen to come from the same area, that is a source of conflict."
