Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 8 of the Bill be amended in Sub-clause (3) by inserting the words “on its own” immediately before the words “through the” appearing in paragraph (a); The amendment seeks to create clarity by providing that the national Government conducts upstream petroleum operations either on its own or through the National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK)."
