Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 34 of the Bill be amended ─ (a) in Sub-clause (5) by deleting the words “of not less than five hundred thousand shillings or to a term of imprisonment of not less than six months or both” and substituting therefor the words “not exceeding one million shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both”; and, (b) in Sub-clause (6) by deleting the words “of not less than five thousand shillings” and substituting therefor the words “not exceeding one hundred thousand shillings”."
