Temporary Deputy Chairlady I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 54 of the Bill be amended− (a) in paragraph (a), in the proposed new subsection (1) by inserting the words “and via email, if available” immediately after the words “by registered mail”; and (b) in paragraph (b) by inserting the following new subsection immediately after the proposed new subsection (1A)- “(1AB) notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1A), an administrator of the lessee’s estate may be allowed to apply for an extension of the lease before it expires”. Since in this day and age almost everyone has an e-mail address and if it is available in the records of the person who is registered, we should also give a copy of the notification by e- mail address."
