Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 40 of the Bill be amended by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph− “(b) in sub-section (2) by deleting the word “public” appearing immediately after the word “unlawfully occupies”. The amendment seeks to open up offences to unlawful occupation of classes of land. We have to open up for purposes of the law to apply where criminality might come in.
