"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I support because the initial Bill intended to delete Sub-section 2 of Section 103 of the Land Registration Act which reads as follows:- “A person who unlawfully occupies public land commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand shillings, and in the case of a continuing offence to an additional fine not exceeding one hundred shillings for every day during which the offence continues.” If Sub-clause 2 is deleted, then it will not be easy to deal with those who unlawfully occupy public land. This amendment takes into consideration our land and not just public land. It is a good amendment."
