    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.45 (2) (b) to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Commerce and Budget. In the Statement, the Chairperson should:- (i) explain the regulatory and legal procedures followed before a bank is considered to be put under receivership - the written procedures in communication that are to be followed; (ii) explain the extent to which regulations were followed in placing Dubai, Imperial and Chase banks under receivership; (iii)demonstrate whether placing the said banks under receivership was the most appropriate course of action and whether it was a board decision or a sole decision of an individual or individuals; and, (iv) clarify the remedial measures being put in place by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) with respect to Imperial Bank."
