    "content": "The late Hon. Shitanda was hospitalized at the Nairobi Hospital for more than three weeks and upon his death, the family has incurred a bill in excess of Kshs4 million. Hon. Soita Shitanda has a young family, most of who are still going to school and college. Since Members are on recess and we are just here because of the special sitting, I would request that you consider making some small contributions towards his funeral and support of his family. As a practise, we have a form where Hon. Members indicate whether they wish to make their contributions in cash or they want their contributions deducted from their payslips. Considering the situation as it is now, this is the only hour we have with Members. Therefore, I request that we accept a check-off of, at least, Kshs5,000 from each Member to support the family in offsetting the funeral expense."
