"content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to support this Bill. Kenya is a sporting nation. It is recognised worldwide for its sportsmen and sportswomen. When we talk about doping, it disturbs us. I want to thank the Committee for the good work it has done. The athletes from this country have been better ambassadors than all the other ambassadors we have ever had. We should do the best we can to support the athletes who have brought a lot of respect to this country throughout the world. Whenever there are competitions especially on athletics, I always look at the screen and I am always very sure that for the long distance runners, it would be either Kenya or Ethiopia. While supporting this Bill without amendments, we have to make sure that we fight doping with all the necessary rules and discourage it. If it comes by the way of coaches, whoever does it should never be allowed to set foot in Kenya. I finish by saying that Kenyan athletes, and especially someone like Conjestina Achieng, have brought glory to this country. They are suffering. Let us look for ways of rehabilitating them and trying to make their lives easier. With those few remarks, I support."
