In a matter like this, it would try to balance the interests of all, especially the larger interest of Kenyans. Were the views of the surviving victims of the post- election violence, the IDPs, taken into account or it was just the comfort of the Ocampo six that is driving the Government? Secondly, does the Government recall that it was mainly Members of the Cabinet who disrupted the first initiative to bring a local statute? Is there now change of mind, yet the judicial appointments are being made without regard to the law? What commitment is there?"
