    "content": "(Sen. (Prof) Kindiki): Madam Temporary Speaker, I beg to move:- THAT, the Forest Conservation and Management Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 49 of 2015) be now read a Second Time. This is one of the Bills that are required to be in place, to align the forestry sector to the new Constitution of Kenya (2010.) The long title, therefore, describes it as an Act of Parliament to give effect to Article 69 of Constitution with regard to forest resources, to provide for the development and sustainable management, including conservation and national utilization of all forest resources for the socioeconomic development of the country and for connected purposes.
