    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, that is a very important clarification sought by the Senator. It is because of that concern that our Committee has decided to investigate the circumstances under which Imperial Bank Limited was placed under receivership. In this regard, our Committee has already had a meeting with the Governor and is in the process of inviting the directors and other stakeholders in that bank, so that we can find out whether, indeed, the provisions of Section 34 have been followed properly by the CBK in placing the bank under receivership. We also sought to know whether the directors of Imperial Bank failed to comply with the issues that have been raised, for example, the recovery plan or the CBK did not act appropriately.
