    "content": "The other important issue which we need to consider is public debt as a country. We might not want to accept it but Kenya is getting to a level where the issue of public debt needs to be of concern to all of us. I get very worried when we do not take this matter seriously because that money is cheap. But the fact that we are borrowing is going to increase our public debt. The other day, when we passed the Supplementary Estimates, I remember one of the important statistics there was the interest rates that we are now paying to our public debt, both domestic and external. It keeps on increasing. What is going to happen is that we are now crowding the private sector."
