Members, I wish to thank the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for making public pronouncement of the Budget highlights and revenue raising measures for the national Government for the 2016/2017 Financial Year. I also wish to confirm that in conformity with the provisions of Standing Order No. 24(2), the Cabinet Secretary (CS) has since submitted to my office the proposed Finance Bill 2016 and other legislative proposals necessary to actualise the revenue raising measures he has pronounced for the national Government for the financial year in question. Hon. Members, it is now my pleasure to invite all the Hon. Members, the CS for National Treasury, other CSs and all the other guests to a reception at the Parliament forecourt hereafter."
