Looking at my constituency, Isiolo, we have a lot of staff balancing issues because many of the teachers would not want to teach in schools in the rural areas because of hardships. Some of the hardships include lack of accommodation facilities for teachers and lack of communication. Many areas in my constituency lack mobile network coverage. They cannot even communicate with their children and families. The issue of transport is also a big problem in some of the areas. There is insecurity and many times, the students do not have time to cover their syllabuses. Many schools in rural areas even lack sitting facilities leave alone books. Sometimes ranking them along with other schools that are well established, old enough and have set traditions for performance is also very difficult."
