The first one is; could the Chairman explain why they still have the thermal power plants which are very expensive when we have so much of the geothermal, hydro and green Energy which are cheaper? Is it because those people who own the thermal power plants are politically connected individuals who must maintain those power plants? Is that the reason why Kenyans will continue paying for very expensive power? Secondly, when is this country going to ensure that there is reliable power supply in areas off the national grid like Mandera where we have serious problems of power throughout the year? We have been here complaining year in, year out. When will the Ministry ensure that there is reliable power supply? We have really suffered. It is like that part of the country is not part of the nation."
