"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to move that the Energy Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 50 of 2015) be read a Second Time. The Energy Bill is one of the Bills that have a deadline under our Constitution; that it must be enacted by 27th August, this year. As I have said when I was giving the weekly statement, the extension that was given to these Bills last year is final and non- extendable. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, what this Bill does is to; first, consolidate all the laws relating to energy into one piece of legislation.
